The dates for Pennsylvania’s annual conference on safety in the construction industry have been announced. The Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Conference, now in its 67th year, will take place at Hershey Lodge and Convention Center on October 28th and October 29th. The agenda for the conference is wide ranging and covers safety topics from aerial lifts to power tools to industrial hygiene.

There will be 3 keynote addresses. In the first, Eric Giguere will tell his harrowing story of being buried alive after a trench collapsed on top of him. The second will be by Lee Shelby, an electrical worker who survived a 12,000 volt electrocution accident. And the third presentation will be made by Michael Sharon of FEMA. He will offer some advice and tips to businesses on how to survive emergency situations.

The conference will offer a number of educational credits, including ABIH certification to safety professionals in the industry. More information on the conference can be found here.
