Coincidence?

4/21/2015 | Commercial Litigation Blog, Kaplin Stewart Blog

This is the mausoleum of William Strumberg Stokley (1823 – 1902).  It’s at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia (www.thelaurelhillcemetery.org), which is a cool place to visit for a whole bunch of reasons.  Disclaimer : My wife works there.

Mr. Stokley was Mayor of Philadelphia from 1872 to 1881.

…and here is a link to a photo of Philadelphia’s City Hall

City Hall portal

It was constructed between 1871 and 1901.  Mr. Stokley was Mayor during nine of the first ten years of construction.

Is it me, or does the mausoleum look like it might, just might have been built with some “extra” blocks from the City Hall project that “fell off the horse-drawn wagon” ?

I’m just asking.
