Construction Lawyers Assisting Clients Throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey
An integral part of a construction practice is to be thoroughly grounded in the intricacies of public contracting. Our construction clients, who are engaged in public contracting, look to us for guidance. To meet our clients’ needs, our Construction Group has an in-depth understanding of the complexities of public contracting, through the various stages – from bidding, to bid protests, to regulatory compliance, to claim submission and resolution. Contractors may be unfamiliar with the multitude of rules, regulations, and procedures, our Construction Group helps clients navigate the many challenges faced by company’s performing work for federal, state and local governments and municipalities. We routinely advise clients with respect to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements as well as state and local procurement requirements.
Our Construction Group is experienced in counseling and representing clients with bid protests. We routinely advise our clients on the procedure and likelihood of success to provide our clients with in-depth information and guidance to make a sound business decision on whether to proceed with or challenge a bid protest.
Our Construction Group is familiar with claims and dispute procedures involving public contract work. We assist clients in the preparation of requests for equitable adjustments and claims on public work projects. Concerning claims submitted by our clients on federal or federally assisted construction contracts, we make certain that the claims do not run afoul of the Federal False Claims Act. We view the avoidance of disputes as our first priority and we work closely with our clients to resolve disputes in the first instance. If a dispute cannot be resolved, we vigorously represent our clients with claims at the federal, state and local level, and at all stages of the claims process. We have litigated many claims before various agency boards and have handled appeals before the United States Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit.
