Andy Cohn is a partner in our Construction Law Department. As an experienced litigator he has tried and won many a construction case. He also reviews contracts and serves as both a mediator and an arbitrator. Here, however, is the rest of the story.

Away from his legal practice, Andy’s interests are reading history, golf, and cooking – and not necessarily in that order. A number of years ago, Andy’s wife bought him a series of lessons in knife skills and classic cooking techniques. Later, Andy learned to cook Chinese food and Asian cuisine. Now, Andy is able to be creative and unwind in the kitchen. And Andy’s wife is enjoying every minute of the substantial return on her investment.

Andy also spends a good deal of time as a member of the Board of Directors of the Non-Profit Finance Fund, headquartered in New York City. NFF’s mission is to provide access to capital, strategic advice, and technical assistance to mission driven non-profit organizations around the country. Andy keeps busy chairing NFF’s Audit and National Loan Committees.

We hope you enjoyed getting to know a little more about Andy and his interests away from the office. Stay tuned for future occasions when we highlight the interests of other lawyers in our department.
